Featuring an all-star cast of Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, Jude Law, and Kate Winslet, it tells the story of two women who choose to swap houses across the globe for the holidays, each getting a taste of the other’s lives. Trading a fancy Hollywood mansion for a tiny English cottage proved just the thing that Iris (Kate Winslet) and Amanda (Cameron Diaz) needed. While a pretty predictable rom-com, as they all are, “The Holiday” features slightly more intelligent dialogue along with an emphasis on self-care, which you often don’t get in this genre of a movie. Overall, “The Holiday” is a great film to watch to kick off the holiday season!
