Movie review: Tremors

Movie review: Tremors

An unknown subterranean animal terrorizes the tiny town of Perfection, Nevada. Completely isolated, the quirky and eccentric residents are forced to adapt for their own survival.

That is all what “Tremors” is about. Originally released in 1990, it has held the test of time. The characters, who are unique, endearing, and act like real people would, are unaffected by classic horror movie tropes. The monsters are incredibly creative and generate a constant source of suspense, jumpscares, tension and everything else you could ever want in a horror movie.

“Tremors” exploded in popularity through VHS rental, despite not doing too well in the box office. “Tremors” is a delightfully campy monster movie, and definitely deserves a spot in anyone’s Halloween horror movie binge session.
