Arriving at Jones this year is an event called the Eagle Games, which will be held on Friday, October 24. Organized by math teacher Kelsey DeWitte, social science teacher John Lund, and some Student Government Association members, the Eagle Games will consist of numerous challenges throughout the South building.

With activities ranging from academic trivia to three-legged races, the Eagle Games aim to give all students the opportunity to showcase their strengths. The Eagle Games were created because of the recent influx of students.

“We wanted a pep rally with more contests and games,” Lund said, “but the entire student body cannot fit in the gym. We had to get creative.” Over fifty people will represent each class in the games.
